by Michael Brown, staff writer Heads up, Nashville! Last year's Wizard World Nashville Comic Con was such a hit that they're bringing you the sequel! Wizard World Comic Con returns to Nashville September 26-28, 2014 at downtown Nashville's Music City Center. And just like last year, the Music City Center will be the place to meet your favorite collection of celebrities ever assembled from television, movies, and the top names in comics. Scheduled to appear this year are William Shatner of Star Trek fame; Jon Bernthal and Michael Rooker of The Walking Dead; Manu Bennett from The Hobbit and Arrow; WWE stars Kane and the Bella Twins; Alan Tudyk from Firefly; Eliza Dushku from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse; and some of the best talent in comics including Ethan van Sciver, Phil Ortiz, Greg Horn, and more. Wizard World Nashville Comic Con is also proudly playing host to a highly anticipated reunion of six Star Trek: The Next Generation cast members: Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn, Levar Burton, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, and Gates McFadden. The cast members will relive their time on the hit science-fiction show, and participate in a Q&A with fans. And don't forget to show up for cosplay as hundreds of your fellow fans, both young and old, will be arriving in costume and wandering the convention floor as every imaginable character from every imaginable genre -- and some you've just never seen or heard of before, ever. You won't want to miss the huge Exhibitor's Room, with aisle after aisle of vendors bringing you the best pop-culture swag you've ever seen, and maybe that one comic you need to complete your run. Nashville will be the 12th stop on Wizard World's tour, and just like every city before and after, they will tirelessly bring fans of all ages together to celebrate the absolute best in pop culture, movies, comics, anime, television, gaming, art, collectibles and more. A stellar line up of programming will be offered over the course of the weekend, with celebrity Q&A sessions, the often-imitated, never-duplicated Wizard World Film Festival, comics-themed programming, costume contests, movie screenings, parties, and more! On Sunday, Wizard World Nashville Comic Con presents Kids Day, with an array of activities and programming with the younger Wizard World fan in mind. And when the convention is over for the night? This is Nashville, man! If you're a music fan of any sort, you won't find a more diverse and eclectic range of music on earth than downtown Nashville. Nashville's nightlife offers their guests an endless array of places to wind down and sample some fine food and drink. Nashville's awesome public transportation is on hand to take you wherever you want to go. Wizard World Nashville Comic Con should be the start of your weekend, but it doesn't have to end there. Wizard World Nashville Comic Con kicks off Friday, September 26 from 3-8 p.m.; continues Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; and concludes Sunday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend passes are priced at $79.95, while 1-day passes will vary in price depending on the day. Programming note: William Shatner is only scheduled to appear Friday, so be sure to show up and meet the legend himself.
