Earth wakes up to find itself inside a giant hamster wheel racing against other hamsters who want to plug us into a power grid and use us as living batteries even though they have seen every episode of Firefly who derive their sustainance by a bunch of kids playing disco music on boom boxes but one cunning young man somehow convinces them that people are okay and so they leave our planet and fly home.
