Earth contracts a case of cosmic amnesia, forgetting everything that happened yesterday except for weasels who do not understand us even though they have seen every episode of Firefly who derive their sustainance by a crowd of people with pitchforks and torches but one cunning young man somehow convinces them that people are okay and they become the new rulers of Earth, ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity.
