Earth is invaded by a swarm of sentient nanobots efficiently compact googly-eyed aliens with cheesy gorilla suit bodies and retro fishbowl space helmetswho do not understand us even though they are radioactive who derive their sustainance by a slap to the side of the head with a large fish , but scientists create a new weapon which does not work and then they kill us all.
