March 26, 2024, would have been Dorothy Catherine Fontana’s 85th birthday. The remarkable writer and mentor, and screenwriter of some of Star Trek’s most famous episodes, passed away in 2019.

Filk music legend Rilla Heslin, the lead singer of the filk/folk group Windbourne has died. She passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2024, after a long illness.
