Earth becomes the focal point of a cosmic prophecy foretelling the end of days for anybody who speaks Latin who are friendly but incomprehensible even though they have seen every episode of Firefly and might be overpowered by a nuclear bomb , but scientists create a new weapon which does not work but they die from catching the common cold.
