Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they’re introduced to electronics, a new threat to playtime.
It’s the fifth installment in the now classic Toy Story film series. This time it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs oare on the line when they’re introduced to what kids are obsessed with today: electronics. Bonnie gets a Lillypad as a gift, and Jessie and toys all over are getting replaced by these new devices. This sends Buzz and Woody on an adventure together to save the toys’ destinies when Jessie discovers that Bonnie still needs them all.
Directed by Andrew Stanton, and co-directed by Kenna Harris, Toy Story 5 stars Tom Hanks as Woody, Keanu Reeves (as Duke Caboom), Annie Potts (as Jessie), Wallace Shawn, Alan Cumming, Bonnie Hunt Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Ernie Hudson, Joan Cusack, Bad Bunny, Blake Clark, Conan O’Brien, Tony Hale, Disney’s good luck charm John Ratzenberger, Greta Lee as Lily Pad, and many more.
This is the first main film in the Toy Story franchise to be rated PG by the Motion Picture Association, unlike the first four films, all rated G. The first trailer for Toy Story 5 received 142 million views online within the first 24 hours, the second most of any Pixar animated film, after Inside Out 2, which got 157 million views on the first day. It’s the tenth Pixar movie to be scored by Randy Newman, who did all the previous Toy Story movies, both Monsters Inc. movies, the first three Cars movies, and A Bug’s Life.
It opens only in theaters on June 19, 2026.
