When filmmaking itself is a subversive act, you get Coyote vs. Acme.
After all of the products made by ACME Corporation backfire on Wile E. Coyote, in his pursuit of the Road Runner, he hires an equally-unlucky human attorney to sue the company. When Wile E.’s lawyer finds out that his former law firm’s intimidating boss is ACME’s CEO, he teams up with Wile E. to win the court case against him.
John Cena, Lana Condor and Will Forte star in this Dave Green directed film.
Ketchup Entertainment is distributing Coyote vs. Acme. After originally being shelved by Warner Bros. Discovery for a tax write-off, the film was acquired by Ketchup Entertainment in March 2025.
Release Date: The film is scheduled for release in U.S. theaters on August 28, 2026. Distribution Partner: V10 Entertainment will serve as the exclusive global distributor for Ketchup’s theatrical slate, including Coyote vs. Acme. Ketchup Entertainment also handled the distribution of another rescued Looney Tunes film, The Day the Earth Blew Up.
Warner Bros. steps on a rake this time. It’s the third film David Zaslav has shelved completed films during his time as the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery for a tax write-off. The first films were Batgirl & Scoob!: Holiday Haunt, which were shelved near the end of post-production in August 2022. However, unlike the former two, the film’s rights were successfully sold to Ketchup Entertainment, an alternative distributor, and we’re actually going to get to see this one.
