Following in the illustrious footsteps of Red vs Blue comes a trailer for a new fan film based on the wildly popular MMO, Helldivers 2. Unlike many such trailers, there is a real full length film coming from this production team, releasing for free on November 28th.

The creators are the Plot Coalition, headed by Caleb Chamberlain, and they’re working in Unreal Engine to create these amazing visuals, Chamberlain’s previous work includes a six part miniseries, Titanfall: New Frontiers, released in 2024. Chamberlain’s Plot Coalition represents a new foray into the unexplored frontiers of modern filmmaking, doing with a couple of dozen contributors what used to be the exclusive domain of major studios. Unreal Engine, in specific, offers animation and rendering capability in treal time that was formerly only possible using millions of dollars worth of computing resources in giant facilities called render farms.

Production on For Liberty! A Helldivers Film was begun in September of 2024.
