When the mysterious deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, “Wendy” (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.

The official description: “In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In this Corporate Era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans. But the game is changed when the wunderkind Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks a new technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness). The first hybrid prototype named ‘Wendy’ (Sydney Chandler) marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani’s spaceship collides into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined.”
The series will take place in 2120, setting the events of this series 27 years after the prequel film Prometheus, which in turn takes place in 2093, 16 years after Alien: Covenant taking place in 2104, two years before the events of the original film Alien which takes place in 2122, 17 years before the hit video game Alien: Isolation set in 2137, 22 years before the recently released Alien: Romulus set in 2142, 59 years before Aliens & Alien³ which both take place in 2179 and 261 years before Alien: Resurrection which is set in 2381. It’s a complicated timeline, and only purists will care, but that’s how it fits in the timeline.
This will be the first time a film or series in the canon Alien universe actually takes place on Earth. This will also be the first time a Xenomorph is shown on Earth
FX’s Alien: Earth is created for television and executive produced by Noah Hawley. It makes its streaming debut on August 12, 2025.
