“It’s not entirely unpleasant seeing you again,” says Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/Kingpin to Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in the trailer.

It’s a couple of days late, thanks to the L.A. wildfires, but here is the first full trailer for Daredevil: Born Again.

In Daredevil: Born Again, Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.

The return of Matt Murdock to serial television has been long awaited by fans, and this has all the earmarks of a comicbook fandom hit.

 Daredevil: Born Again features Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Jon Bernthal. The series hails from Dario Scardapane, with Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd directing episodes.

It was announced in October 23, 2023 that Kevin Feige and the other Marvel executives watched the first few episodes during the writers and actors strike and didn’t like what they saw. So, they fired the writers and directors and will search for new creative people.

Sandrine Holt was originally set to replace original Netflix actress Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk for Born Again. However, fan criticism of the recasting, on top of the eventual creative overhaul, led to Zurer’s return to the role. This was not officially confirmed until set photos depicting Zurer were released.

The show was conceived as an episodic soft reboot of the original Netflix series with a comparatively lighter tone. However, the creative overhaul of the show and the return of original Netflix cast members not previously cast in the series confirmed that the show will be a serialized continuation of the Netflix storylines.

Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Scardapane, Chris Ord, Matt Corman, Benson, and Moorhead serve as executive producers.

Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ on March 4.
