Andy Wu makes mashups, and he is desperately, powerfully good at it. Lady Gaga and Kathryn Hahn sound great together.
In this absolute banger, Andy skillfully blends not only voices but visuals from Lady Gaga, Kathryn Hahn and Jenna Ortega into one smooth, seamless creation. It is so powerful, from both musical and cinema standpoints, that you will find yourself watching it two or three times over.
The song is whirred together from the Ballad of the Witches Road from Agatha All Along and Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary. Wu took footage from the 2022 dance scene performed by Jenna Ortega, together with shots from Lady Gaga’s music video for the same song, and combined it to perfection with scenes from Agatha All Along where Kathryn Hahn provided the key vocals for the Ballad of the Witches Road.
The results are transformative, almost terrifying, and absolutely a work of art. Watching this, one might be forgiven for not realizing that these were initially three separate sequences and two separate songs. This is as good as editing gets. Andy Wu is a true artist.
