Ham and cheese and a pumpkin latte? Yes please.
Disney+ has just dropped the official trailer for the highly anticipated Doctor Who Christmas special, “Joy to the World,” ahead of its premiere on December 25th at 9:10 a.m. PST / 12:10 p.m. EST.
When Joy checks into a London hotel in 2024, she stumbles through a hidden door into the Time Hotel—where danger, dinosaurs, and the Doctor await. But just in time for Christmas, a deadly plan threatens Earth.
Ncuti Gatwa (‘Sex Education’) stars as the Doctor, with Nicola Coughlan (‘Bridgerton’) as Joy. Also appearing are Steph de Whalley (Anita), Jonathan Aris (Melnak), Joel Fry (Trev), Peter Benedict (Basil), Julia Watson (Hilda), and Niamh Marie Smith (Sylvia).
Written and executive produced by Steven Moffat (‘Doctor Who,’ ‘Sherlock’), directed by Alex Sanjiv Pillai (‘Riverdale,’ ‘Bridgerton’), and showrun by Russell T Davies. Joel Collins, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter also serve as executive producers. It is Steven Moffat’s 50th script for Doctor Who, and may be his last, as he has not been yet approached about future seasons of the show.
Doctor Who is produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios for Disney Branded Television, BBC One, and BBC iPlayer.
Season two of Doctor Who will arrive in 2025 on Disney+ (where available) and on BBC iPlayer in the U.K.

I remember watching this Christmas special with Queen Victoria. That was on Christmas Day 200 years ago. She wasn’t queen then, but was a sweet kid who loved Doctor Who.
No, wait. That wasn’t real. That was just a dream. Nevermind.
