Here is another installment of our interview series where I ask the Frosty Fight Club staff questions and they get to express themselves and allow a greater audience to get to know them. Please meet my favorite Honduran, DJLink654.

Who are you and could you tell us more about yourself? What do you enjoy gaming wise? What made you wanna join the Frosty Fight Club server and accept the invitation to join the staff?

A: My online name almost everywhere is DJLink654 (real name Mario), I’m a regular dude hailing from this small country in the center-most part of the American continent called Honduras, I enjoy Fighting games specifically from SNK and any game Terry Bogard is in, also a big JRPG lover like the Final Fantasy games, Dragon Quests, Persona, etc. I also enjoy a bit of sports games but not the trash EA sports games I mean the REAL MAN sports games like the Mario Sports games, the NBA street games, SSX games, etc.

Well, I was never really planning on joining the server, it was this friend that told me about a Capcom vs. SNK 2 tournament and asked me if I was going to play, I was unaware really but then I said, “meh why not”, somehow, I finished 3rd and now I’m a Staff member haha, life is weird sometimes.

Is there anything you work on outside of the Frosty Fight Club that you’d like to share?

A: Currently I’m a college student in its 2nd year trying to be a Lawyer, I really enjoy this profession, though sometimes it do be a pain in the ass in some areas, but overall I enjoy it, particularly the criminal law area. As for hobbies, I really like watching sports, currently I’ve gotten into Formula 1, I always thought that watching millionaires going around in circles in a race track was boring, but then I saw a race and a lot of YouTube videos and said “ayo this kinda peak though” and now I wake up at 7 AM all weekends to watch Qualifying and the Race, My favorite sports though gotta be Football (Or as you ‘Muricans call it “Saccer“) its been a sports that’s been with since childhood. I also like to collect Limited edition Soda Cans, I have a lot of them from different brands, I have some Cans that are almost 14 years old in perfect conditions! As for special skills eh not really, I guess speaking English is one, since its not my first language.

What is your favorite memory so far of being part of the Frosty Fight Club? What would you say your toughest time/day was also?

A: that’s a tough question, because I tend to choke a lot in tournaments haha, but I guess my first tournament is my favorite memory, like I said I was not planning on playing and signed up last minute and finished 3rd! as for my toughest day here, definitely my first 3rd strike monthly tournament as a Co-Host, I was nervous because a lot of people signed up and I had to keep track of scores, check-ins, people being in the private lobby, etc. I ended up dead that day haha.

If you could write an article or do a video on one topic, what would it be and why? What makes this so special that everyone needs to know about it?

A: hmmm I never really thought about it, but I would like to write an article about one of my favorite fighting games ever, Fighting Vipers 2! It’s a game that means a lot to me, I played the 1st game around 2018-2019 on Canadian, Mexican, American, or any random country I had to make for Playstation Now to work with a fake credit card haha. Then I found out there was a 2nd game for the Dreamcast and dude I used to grind that game to hell on my Samsung Galaxy S4 on the obsolete Reicast emulator ON TOUCH CONTROLS hahaha. I’d say is a game that really make me love fighting games. Its basically Virtua Fighter but take out all the realistic mechanics of the VF games, cool characters (Including Walmart Jotaro Kujo) and a floatier feel to the game. Its very unique and I’m kinda sad very few people play this game, it really is a hidden gem.

Do you have any questions for me?
A: I’ve always wandered Silent, besides doing Frosty and helping run SCIFI.radio, what else do you did or used to do for a living?

Well, Link. I’ve held many “jobs” but the notable ones have been working in a inbound tech support capacity where used to help troubleshoot cheap pc hardware peripherals (GearHead), remote control toys (Radio Road Toys), consumer security equipment (Nightowl). Smart Locks (U-Tec), and last but not least working supporting the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) with my skill set. Prior to that, I’ve worked in food service and helping do in person sales at stores such as Costco, Best Buy, and Sam’s Club and at various flea markets. Right meow, I’m still looking for remote full time employment but I’m a full time caregiver in addition to doing the Frosty Fight Club stuff.

Do you have any last words for the readers?
A: Study, don’t do drugs and don’t do anything illegal my dad always tells me “If you study and stay out of trouble, you’ll live a quiet and peaceful life son”

Thank you for that DJLink654. Feel free to bother him in our discord or add him on discord at DJLink654. He’s always looking for people to play with in SNK games and more.
