We’ve been on the air now for fifteen years. FIFTEEN YEARS. That alone is something pretty amazing in terms of internet radio stations, which rarely stick around more than three years. We have no pattern to look to when we try new stuff. We’re unique on the planet, and when I say “unique”, I mean it — there are literally no other science fiction themed radio stations anywhere in the world, apart from us, and that includes non-internet, terrestrial stations.

A New “Instrumentals Only” Radio Stream

For our backers who pledge at least $15 a month, we will present a special instrumentals only stream, devoid of tracks with lyrics. The stream is perfect for when you want to listen to SCIFI.radio, but you want to concentrate on what you’re doing without the distraction of having to process human language. It’s perfect for studying, coding, or any kind of creative work.

Naturally, any patron who is already helping support the station for more than that per month will have access to it.

How It Works

As a member of the Patreon platform, you’ll go to our web site at https://scifi.radio and select the Instrumentals only page. From there it will ask you to connect using your Patreon credentials. Don’t worry, it’s pretty easy, and is almost automatic anyway. From there, you just hit “play” on the player, and there you go! The same page will work on your cell phone as well, so you’ll be able to play the instrumentals only stream wherever you are.
