Captured and imprisoned by the Last Men, a very special deer boy named Gus takes action to help his newfound hybrid friends escape before it’s too late. It’s another apocolypse story, but with a cool twist.
Sweet Tooth is the loose Netflix adaptation of Jeff Lemire’s now-classic comic series. It is one of those series that just so happens to depict a pandemic-caused apocalypse during an actual pandemic, by virtue of the theme of the original comics, written years before. Since the pandemic breakout, all children are born as human-animal hybrids. In Season 2, Guss the Deer Boy (Christian Convery, Cocaine Bear) and other animal children are in the hands of the cruel General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) trying to survive, while bounty hunter Jeppard (Nonso Anozie, Game of Thrones) and hybrid foster mother Aimee (Dania Ramirez) search for their lost kids. Meanwhile, Dr. Singh (Adeel Akhtar) tries to keep his infected wife alive without further compromising his morality.
The trailer is high on emotion, short on plot, but if Season 2 is anything like Season 1, the second season of Sweet Tooth on Netflix will be one to watch.
