Star Trek: Strange New Worlds makes its big debut on Paramount+ on May 5. Here’s the official intro to the show, and it’s everything.
A prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series, the show will follow the crew of the USS Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike.
We got chills listening to the voiceover. Can you imagine how Anson Mount, a life-long Star Trek fan himself, felt reading those lines into the microphone?
Goosebumps.
Strange New Worlds follows the adventures of Captain Christopher Pike, Number One (Rebecca Romijn), Spock (Ethan Peck), who we’ve met on Discovery, and the rest of their crew: Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura; Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel; Babs Olusanmokun as Doctor M’Benga; Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas; Bruce Horak as Hemmer; and Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh. When the show gets to its second season, it will also feature Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries) as James T. Kirk.
We’ll just let you enjoy this amazing intro. If you’re like us, you’re going to want to watch this a few times.
