SciFi.Radio regrets to announce Peter Robbins, the original voice of Charlie Brown has died at the age of 65. From the age of nine, until he was thirteen, Robbins voiced Charlie Brown in seven Peanuts caartoons, He was born August 10, 1965 in Los Angeles, California. He died January 18,2022 in Carlsbad, CA.

Robbins suffered from various problems including bipolar disorder and addiction. His death was a suicide.

Robbins had been in prison for making threats against people, and it was there that he was able to get help for his addiction issues and counseling for his mental health problems.

“I would recommend to anybody that has bipolar disorder to take it seriously because your life can turn around in the span of a month, like it did to me,” Robbins said. “I came out of prison and I’m a better person for it. I’m much more humble and grateful and thankful that I lived through the experience.”

Robbins was a child actor from 1963, when he appeared in the movie A Ticklish Affair until he retired from acting in 1972. His final role was a guest appearance in My Three Sons. In addition to voicing Charlie Brown, he played Alexander Bumstead in the Sixties sitcom Blondie.

Robbins’ older sister was the actress Ahna Capri, who okayed Nicky in The Brotherhood of Satan (1971). She died in 2010 in a car accident.

After retiring from acting, he attended University of California San Diego, then became a disc jockey, and eventually went unto real estate.
