The new single from Steam Powered Giraffe (one of geekdom’s favorite bands in the whole world, steampunk genre or otherwise) is out, and it’s called Shattered Stars.

Featuring lead vocals by Zer0 (Bryan Barbarin) that can only be described as a rich, velvety gravel, the tune is a geeky, evervescent song of love and hope. Band originals Rabbit and The Spine (Isabella Bunny Bennet and David Michael Bennet) provide the harmonic backup vocals that give this song the solid wall of sound upon which the band built its well deserved reputation.

The band is making a new album and trying something new by releasing it in waves with double singles every few months. This is the 1st song of the 1st wave, and it will be featured in a final album with all the other future singles, plus a few non-single songs.
