Join host Gene Turnbow this coming Saturday at 7 pm Eastern / 4 pm Pacific as SCIFI.radio’s flagship talk show The Event Horizon welcomes independent filmmaker Karen McCarthy, director of the popular steampunk short Love in the Age of Steam.
We talk guerilla film making, dealing with the unions, the practical aspects of working with tiny budgets, and a smoothly shifting range of related topics.
Love in the Age of Steam is already beginning to win accolades on the film festival circuit. It stars Genevieve Levin as Ashley, Erin Darling as Kiki Valenzuela, and Bernie Bregman as Justin.
Joining us this week is Shawn “Obi-Shawn” Crosby, voice artist, morning DJ on SCIFI.radio with his show Good Morning, Tatooine!, and cohost of our weekly Star Wars talk show Docking Bay 94. He has a cameo in the film – and Event Horizon show host Gene Turnbow worked for a day as sound man on the film as well.
