Please join us this evening at 9 p.m. PT for a special edition of The Event Horizon. Our guest this evening is Adam Nimoy. He is a director and filmmaker in his own right, but also the son of Leonard Nimoy, the man who brought the iconic Mr. Spock to life for nearly fifty years.

Adam is making a documentary about the character his father created, and how it all came to be. It’s called For the Love of Spock, and though there have been countless works on Star Trek and its relevance to modern society, this is the first documentary that focuses on Spock himself. It’s a project that Leonard Nimoy himself was very enthusiastic about, and father and son had already begun working on what it would cover and what should be in it. Sadly, Leonard Nimoy left this world last February due to complications from COPD (“chronic obstructive pulmonary disease”), leaving the completion of the documentary in his son’s capable hands.

Please consider donating to this production. It’s an important part of the history of Star Trek, and we have one chance to help make it happen.

Tonight’s episode replays tomorrow, Sunday, June 21 at 4 p.m. PT, and at various additional times throughout the coming week. After all the airtimes have passed, you will find this episode and others on the SCIFI.radio web site, and on iTunes and Stitcher as podcasts.
