Earth suffers a temporary glitch in the space-time continuum, creating sentiant walruses who want to plug us into a power grid and use us as living batteries even though they smell really bad who derive their sustainance by a bunch of Elvis impersonators but a priest tells them about the God and they are taken in by a kindly old lady who mistakes them for lost children.
