Earth scientists capture enormous psionic squirrels who are friendly but incomprehensible even though they are radioactive and cannot be destroyed by a crowd of people with pitchforks and torches but they fall in love with a young girl and they are taken in by a kindly old lady who mistakes them for lost children.
