Earth suffers a temporary glitch in the space-time continuum, creating sentiant walruses who do not understand us even though they can all do credible singing impressions of Ethel Merman and cannot be destroyed by a bunch of kids playing disco music on boom boxes but a priest tells them about the God and they die anyway.
