Topgolf Levels Up with Marvel’s Fantastic Four: Donuts, Deals, and a Dash of Doom. Because the first thing you think about when you think of the First Family of Marvel Comics is apparently golf.
Topgolf does for golf what Brunswick does for bowling: it takes a casual sport and turns it into a sort of social gathering and friendly competition event the whole family can enjoy. It’s a lot harder to do a Topgolf franchise, though, because you need a staggering amount of physical space in which to do it.
Hey, it’s golf.
So, if you like golf, and you visit Topgolf on a semi-regular basis anyway, and you have one of the Topgolf locations near where you live, there’s a new reason to check them out. From June 30 through September 15, Marvel fans and casual Players alike can experience a cosmic crossover event as Topgolf venues across the U.S. (plus Glasgow, oddly) roll out an in-venue celebration inspired by Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which hits theaters July 25.
A Second Teamup
In this second team-up between Topgolf and Marvel Studios (the first being Captain America: Brave New World), the Fantastic Four take over Topgolf’s digital game Block Party. Themed visuals take you from the Baxter Building to the stars—and there’s a bonus for groups of four or more: just ask your bay host and you’ll score a free order of donut holes-in-one. That’s right. Donuts. Injected with chocolate, Bavarian cream, or raspberry jelly. Because saving the world is hungry work. And stuff. Still, hey, free donuts holes.
So Here are the Deals
- Half-Off Golf: Monday–Thursday (excluding Myrtle Beach and Panama City Beach), get 50% off gameplay.
- Topgolf Nights: Friday and Saturday, 10 p.m. to close, gameplay starts at $30/hour.
- Sunday Funday: Game all day long for $30–$40/hour. Bring six players and it breaks down to $5 per person.
The Food and Drinks
Besides the donut holes, Topgolf’s seasonal menu reads like Reed Richards’ summer shopping list:
- Frozen cocktails (Lemonade, Margarita, Piña Colada) with optional swirls.
- A “Rocket Berry Mojito” with an energy drink boost.
- Red, White & Boba Refreshers with blueberry popping pearls and sweet cream cold foam.
- Basil Peach Palmers and novelty ice cream treats from the Teeline Treat Trolley.
- Beer and margarita specials starting at $5, depending on your local lair.
Scraping Off the Foam
The press release contains the usual self-promotional heavy breathing from both Rodney Farrell, Topgolf VP of Global Partnerships, and Marvel’s Holly Frank, who has a title so long you have to take a breath in the middle to get through it all. She’s the Vice President, Partnership Management & Operations for Global Promotions (MARVEL) at The Walt Disney Company. I’ll spare you the actual statements, because they honestly don’t add anything to the conversation.
The important thing is the golf, and the Fantastic Four event themes, the nice bar drinks, and of course the free donut holes for parties of four or more.
About the Film
Set in a stylized 1960s retro-future, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family to the MCU in style. Pedro Pascal leads as Reed Richards, with Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn rounding out the iconic foursome. Galactus looms. The Silver Surfer glides. And you’ve got until July 25 to practice your swing before everything goes cosmic.
