In 2006, George Lucas established Lucasfilm animation, and their first job was to create the now celebrated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. In this new video from Lucasfilm, Dave Feloni narrates the story of the creation and growth of one of the most celebrated animation houses on the planet.
If you think about it, Lucasfilm Animation, hour for hour, has created more Star Wars for animation than exists for any other format. They truly are leading the charge.

Also presented was a Season 2 Trailer for Light and Magic, Season 2, that tells the story of Industrial Light and Magic itself.

There will be a new theatrical release scheduled for May 28, 2027, entitled Star Wars: Starfighter, a new film starring Ryan Gosling, directed by Shawn Levy, set for release on May 28, 2027, revealed at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo. The movie is a standalone story set five years after The Rise of Skywalker, not tied to the Skywalker Saga, with a script by Jonathan Tropper.
A new animated series called Star Wars: Maul, Shadow Lord arrives on DisneyPlus in 2026.

- Star Wars: The Clone Wars: This series follows the Clone Wars era and introduced fan-favorite characters like Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex.
- Star Wars Rebels: This series is set between the events of The Phantom Menace and A New Hope.
- Star Wars Resistance: This series focuses on Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot recruited for a top-secret mission.
- Star Wars: The Bad Batch: This series is the first original animated series created for Disney+.
- Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi: This series is a collection of six parables focused on Jedi from the prequel era.
- Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures: This series introduces a new generation of Jedi characters.
- Star Wars Forces of Destiny: This web series is a collection of shorts featuring female characters from previous Star Wars installments.
