The Hollywood Walk of Fame is set to shine even brighter as Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige receives the 2,785th star on this iconic boulevard. The ceremony, honoring Feige’s monumental contributions to the film industry, will take place on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM PT in front of the El Capitan Theatre at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard.
Hosted by Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Steve Nissen, the event will feature special guest speakers Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, stars of Feige’s upcoming blockbuster, “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Fans worldwide can tune in to watch the ceremony live at www.walkoffame.com.
Celebrating a Visionary
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor Kevin Feige with a well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Few filmmakers have had the kind of impact and track record that Kevin has,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “The many films he has worked on have become cultural phenomena and major milestones in cinema history.”
As the mastermind behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the highest-grossing film franchise ever, Feige has redefined blockbuster filmmaking. His tenure at Marvel Studios has seen the creation of 33 No. 1 box office hits, collectively grossing nearly $30 billion globally. Notably, “Avengers: Endgame” and “Avengers: Infinity War” each surpassed the $2 billion mark, with “Endgame” being the fastest film in history to reach this milestone.
A Legacy of Success
Feige’s journey began with Iron Man in 2008, a film that set the stage for the MCU’s interconnected universe. Iron Man was inducted into the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in 2022 for its cultural significance. Since then, Feige has continued to deliver hit after hit, including Black Panther, the first superhero film nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture.
Upcoming releases under Feige’s leadership include “Deadpool & Wolverine” on July 26, 2024, “Captain America: Brave New World” in February 2025, “Thunderbolts” in May 2025, and “The Fantastic Four” in July 2025.
