Love a good cryptid novel? Then you’ll enjoy Michael Knost’s Cryptid romp through the hills of Southern West Virginia.

I picked up this book after meeting Michael at the Imaginarium convention in 2022. I was not disappointed. He hit on so many heartstrings from growing up in the hills and coal fields around Logan West Virginia, plus tapping one of the many Cryptid horror creatures of my childhood just brought it all home to me. I can’t wait to see what other tales of the hills Knost produces in the future, but for now, this is a must-have if you’re into anything of the cryptid nature.

Here’s the blurb:

2014 Bram Stoker Award® Nominee for Superior Achievement in a First Novel.

Ted Browning moves back to his rural hometown of Logan, West Virginia, after learning his grandmother is dying of cancer. When he hears talk of Mothman sightings from miners at Bear Creek Coal Company he simply doesn’t believe it-until a series of events puts him in direct confrontation with the evil winged creature. Ted is forced to face his inner demons in order to protect the very loved ones he’s kept at a distance for twenty years … and to let go of a tragic past that is drawing him like a moth to the flame.

You can find Michael Knost’s Return of the Mothman in print on Amazon.
