The enduring British site This is Horror is to the horror genre as LOCUS Magazine is to science fiction. Though the organization is older, the web site itself was founded in 2011, and has since become a signifant pillar in the horror viction community, They not only publish dark fiction themselves, they have their own podcast, host another, and feature all sorts of content of interest to readers and writers of horror fiction alike, including some of the industry’s very best.

The This is Horror Awards, therefore, carry substantial significance. They have been held every year since 2011.
