Astrophysicist Professor Andrea M. Ghez of the Department of Astronomy of UCLA became only the fourth woman ever to win the Nobel Prize for Physics this past Thursday for her work proving the existence of Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy.
