Scott Farrell is Chivalry Today's Program Director, and expert in medieval arms, armor, and sword combat in addition to being a writer of steampunk fiction. Our new show The Event Horizon showcases both established and rising science fiction and fantasy writers, artists and creators. This week we are very proud to present our conversation with writer / actor Scott Farrell. In this episode, we talk to Scott about his work in the new steampunk anthology, The Omnibus of Doctor Bill Shakes and the Magnificent Ionic Pentatetrameter, edited by Matthew Delman & Jaymee Goh. The anthology uses the steampunk sensibility to retell stories from the works of Shakespeare. Scott is also the brains behind one of the more remarkable, and to our mind, needful, sites on the internet: Chivalry Today. We discuss with Scott the foundations of chivalry and its origins in Arthurian legend and its relevance and value in our modern mythologies.
