Earth is slated for destruction by aliens who want to build an intergalactic bypass who understand us all too well even though they smell really bad and cannot be destroyed by a crowd of people with pitchforks and torches but one cunning young man somehow convinces them that people are okay and they form a rock band and tour the galaxy, becoming interstellar celebrities.
