Today's Video of the Day is a triple-threat. It's stylish, it's quintessentially torch, and it's from the most recent episode of Doctor Who that played just last Saturday, Mummy on the Orient Express. The singer with the sweet, sad, haunting voice is Louisa Rose Allen, better known by her stage name, Foxes. Foxes released her debut single, Youth, in early 2012 on Neon Gold Records. Dance producer Zedd heard the song and invited her to sing on his single Clarity last year. Clarity made the charts in several countries, including the number eight spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. That song reached double platinum, platinum and gold in Austrailia, the United States and New Zealand respectively, going on to win the Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2014. We predict that her cover of Queen's Don't Stop Me Now, already a geek favorite, will turn some heads. It's been a very fast rise for a singer who has produced a comparatively small body of work so far, but it's easy to see why it's happening.
