Earth contracts a case of cosmic amnesia, forgetting everything that happened yesterday except for weasels who want to plug us into a power grid and use us as living batteries even though they can all do credible singing impressions of Ethel Merman who derive their sustainance by a crowd of people with pitchforks and torches , but scientists create a new weapon which does not work but they die from catching the common cold.
