Here’s the first image of Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy.

The white dots in this image are not stars, or galaxies. They’re black holes. Every galaxy has one singularity or more at its core.

For the first time, a black hole has been photographed. This is a turning point in the history of intelligent life on this planet.
