Earth is invaded by a swarm of sentient nanobots anime style morally ambiguous nebula narwhals who are friendly but incomprehensible even though they smell really bad and cannot be destroyed by a nuclear bomb , but scientists create a new weapon which turns them into weird rocks.
The End.and then they kill us all.
