Earth develops a temporal echo across multiple timelines creating duplicates of everyone on Earth who understand us all too well even though they can all do credible singing impressions of Ethel Merman who tend to stutter under pressure when confronted by a bunch of kids playing disco music on boom boxes but one cunning young man somehow convinces them that people are okay and they are taken in by a kindly old lady who mistakes them for lost children.
