Earth drifts into previously undiscovered living energy fields who are friendly but incomprehensible even though they are radioactive who derive their sustainance by a bunch of kids playing disco music on boom boxes but one cunning young man somehow convinces them that people are okay and they form a rock band and tour the galaxy, becoming interstellar celebrities.
