Earth falls under the spell of a cosmic enchantment, casting the world into sentient vats of melted caramel who understand us all too well even though they have seen every episode of Firefly and cannot be destroyed by a slap to the side of the head with a large fish but one cunning young man somehow convinces them that people are okay and they become the new rulers of Earth, ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity.
