Pedro Pascal stars as the Mandalorian in this epic compilation of fan service released by Luscasfilm this morning as the first full trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu.

“Once a lone bounty hunter, Mandalorian Din Djarin and his apprentice Grogu embark on an exciting new Star Wars adventure.”

Director Jon Favreau has it right. The Star Wars saga is fertile ground for imagination, its universe so rich and decorated now that it can play host to thousands of new stories. The Mandalorian and Grogu is as much about telling the intriguing story of how Grogu and the Mandalorian got on after the events of the Disney Plus series as it is about scratching an itch. The fans want to see this, and the proof is in the metrics: when we found the trailer, it was an hour old and had already been seen by a quarter million people.

If you can possibly capture the lightning in a bottle when it strikes, you should absolutely try. The Mandalorian and Grogu hits its marks.

The Mandalorian and Grogu features Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian, Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward, Steve Blum as Zeb Orrelios, Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, and Jonny Coyne as Imperial Warlord Janu Coin (we think they might have renamed the character after him, or written it with him in mind). It goes to theaters and IMAX on May 22, 2026.
