The second season of Hazbin Hotel has given us great treasures, not the least of which is this marvelous scene wherein demons from Hell and angels from Heaven come together to stop the superweapon built by the usurper Vox Populi.

Angels and demons alike join forces to stop the unearthly cannon that would destroy Heaven.

Hazbin Hotel is a glorious example of what happens when a team of wildly creative, talented people led by someone with a pure vision reaches their full potential. This is the spark that reminds us that such things, in this age of remakes and cynical shortsidedness, are still possible.

The series, created by Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano, is produced by Spindlehorse in collaboration with A24, Amazon MGM Studios, and the animation studio Bento Box Entertainment.

This is suck you in, tie you down and make you wanna watch the whole thing kind of fun. The music? The music absolutely soars. This might be some of the finest soundtrack work I’ve seen in an animated film, and there’s some pretty stiff competition included in that. The character design and animation is all pitch perfect, and true to VivziePop’s singular vision.

Seasons 3 and 4 have already been confirmed as being in preproduction.

Fans of VivziePop can watch episodes of Helluva Boss for free on VivziePop’s YouTube channel, though it too is on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.
