From Pixar comes what looks like another smash hit film coming for 2026: it’s Hoppers. It’s just like Avatar. Except not.

An animal lover uses technology that places her consciousness into a robotic beaver to uncover mysteries within the animal world beyond her imagination.

This isn’t a big sweeping epic so far as we can tell from this vantage point. It does look pretty darn good. The character design is a bit on the bland side, but stylistic sideways jags can be disconcerting as well. It stars Jon Hamm, Bobby Moynihan and Piper Curda, directed by Daniel Chong from a script by Daniel Chong and Jesse Andrews.

Hoppers will have a Disney’s Lilo & Stitch-esque teaser trailers, but with Mabel and Pixar characters allowed for 10 parody teaser trailers to be made, in which Mabel crashes memorable moments of films from the Pixar: Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, WALL-E, Inside Out, Coco and Luca.

Directed by Dannie Chong (We Bare Bears), Hoppers is Pixar’s 30th feature film. The release is anticipated to be March 6, 2026.
