Anca Aldrin, nee Faur, the fourth wife of astronaut Buzz Aldrin has passed away, dying on October 28, succumbing to cancer after a long struggle with the disease. Anca Faur was born May 14, 1969, making her 66 years old at time of death.
Dr. Anca Faur Aldrin was a mechanical engineer who earned a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. She passed away on October 28, 2025 with her husband, Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr, and her son Vlad Ghenciu by her side.
She married General Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. on January 20, 2023. He had been married and divorced three times before but described Anca as “the love of his life.”
Anca Faur Aldrin served as the treasurer for the California Hydrogen Business Council and executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC.
General Aldrin, the second man to set foot on the moon, said, “I am so forrtunate to have found and married the love of my life. She brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly.”
The Aldrin and Faur families naturally request privacy at this difficult time. We offer our deepest condolences to General Aldrin and his family.
