From Warner Bros. Animation comes the most unlikely hero: Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat. This is his animated theatrical feature film debut.

For a really long time, the only Dr. Sueuss on film was The 5000 Fingers of Doctor T. Look how far we’ve come.

Bill Hader voices the title role in this unhinged, uninhibited, undisciplined and completely unchained version of the beloved chaotic Cat in the ridiculous chapeaux. A voice artist and actor, his professional career started with a 2004 short called Sounds Good to Me: Remastering the Sting, with stops along the way including roles in Superbad (2007), Grand Theft Auto IV, Tropic Thunder (2008), a live action role as George Armstrong Custer in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), two Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs movies, The Voice in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010), another live action role as Andy Warhol in Men in Black3, and a bunch of Disney/Pixar movies. He most recently starred in the TV series Barry as Barry Berkman, 2018-2023, and played a role in the recent fantasy film IF, where he played … a banana? Huh. He played a banana.

All in all, he’s been in 126 productions, written 8, and produced 7. And now he lends his unmistakeable voice to one of the most iconic characters there is.

The Cat in the Hat stars Bill Hader, Giancarlo Esposito and Matt Berry, and is scheduled for release February 27, 2026.
