Pixar’s Elemental is Romeo and Juliet. With fire and water as lead characters, things could get pretty steamy.
Disney and Pixar have just released an exciting new trailer for Elemental, their upcoming feature film! It transports viewers to Element City, an incredible place where different elements live and work together in harmony. In the trailer, we get to meet Ember, a spunky resident of Firetown who’s ready to explore the world outside of her comfort zone.
The movie promises to be a visual treat, drawing inspiration from cities all over the world and highlighting the unique contributions of each elemental community. There are towering pine-tree-like buildings, waterfall skyscrapers, and even a tornado-shaped arena called Cyclone Stadium!
We already know that Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie will be voicing Ember and Wade, respectively, but there are plenty of other talented actors joining the cast too. Ronnie del Carmen will play Ember’s dad, Bernie, while Shila Ommi is her love-seeking mom, Cinder. Wendi McLendon-Covey will voice Wade’s boss Gale, Catherine O’Hara will play Wade’s welcoming mom Brook, Mason Wertheimer is Ember’s admiring earth neighbor Clod, and Joe Pera is the overgrown city bureaucrat, Fern.
“Elemental” is directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, p.g.a., and executive produced by Pete Docter. The screenplay was written by John Hoberg & Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh, with a story by Sohn, Hoberg & Likkel, and Hsueh. The film features an original score composed and conducted by the talented Thomas Newman. You won’t want to miss this one – “Elemental” is set to hit theaters on June 16!
