Netflix’s “We Have A Ghost” Trailer

Finding a ghost named Ernest haunting their new home turns Kevin’s family into overnight social media sensations. But when Kevin and Ernest go rogue to investigate the mystery of Ernest’s past, they become a target of the CIA.

Stranger Things alum, David Harbor, stars in the upcoming comedy film, We Have A Ghost. The film is based on “Ernest”, a short story written by Geoff Manaugh, and originally published on Vice.com. Legendary Pictures won the screen rights to the story which was adapted by the director of Freaky, Christopher Landon, who also directs the film.

The story looks pretty straight forward. Family moves into a new home. They discover that the house is haunted by a ghost named Ernest. After posting videos of Ernest on the internet, which gets tons of views. The family becomes famous from the videos. From there, three different plots are shown. One, the video draws the attention of Judy Romano, the West Bay Medium, who obviously wants to exploit Ernest and the family for publicity purposes. There’s the shadowy government group, led by Dr. Leslie Monroe, and what they want with Ernest can’t be good. Then there’s the investigation to what happened to Ernest. And of course, hijinks and spooky fun.

In addition to David Harbor as Ernest, the film also stars Tig (Star Trek: Discovery) Notara as Dr. Monroe, Jennifer Coolidge as Judy Romano, Jani Winston as Kevin, and Anthony (Falcon And The Winter Soldier) Mackie and Erica (MadTV) Ash as Kevin’s parents.

In addition to adapting the story to film and directing, Landon also serves as executive producer, along with Manaugh, Korey Budd, Isaac Klausner, John Fischer, and Nathan Miller. Marty Bowen and Dan Halsted serve as producers of the film.

Other that what we’ve shown you, not much information is given about the film, and if we do find out more, we’ll let you know. However, from watching the trailer, it’s a good bet that we have all the information we really need, and this is going to be a fun film to watch.

We Have A Ghost is rated PG-13 and comes to Netflix on February 24.
