Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman drop the proverbial towel in a new trailer for the upcoming Deadpool 3.

There is no reason to expect that the third Deadpool movie will be anything but a hundred-some-odd minutes of fan service. Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) is getting things started early with this surprising plot reveal on the new film, in which Hugh Jackman returns to the role of Wolverine one more time.

In December 2019, Ryan Reynolds announced that a new Deadpool film is in active development with Marvel Studios. This was to make it the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to serve as a sequel to a film produced outside of the series, however in December of 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home served as a sequel to both the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies as well as the Marc Webb ones.

This is Hugh Jackman’s latest appearance as Wolverine since “Logan (2017)”. This will also be the character’s MCU debut alongside Deadpool.

Shawn Levy, the director of Deadpool 3, has previously directed Ryan Reynolds in films such as Free Guy (2021) and The Adam Project (2022). He also directed Hugh Jackman in Real Steel (2011). In Deadpool 3, all three will come together.
