Shiny meets Thunder in Super Giant Robot Brothers, a fun new Netflix After School animated series from creators Victor Maldonado and Alfredo Torres. The pair have worked together on animation projects before, having directed three episodes of Love, Death and Robots, and Dreamworks’ Trollhunters.

Super Giant Robot Brothers is a new 3D animated action-comedy coming to Netflix in days. The series finds the robot siblings working together to defend Earth when space monsters attack.

It’s a kaiju thing.

And it doesn’t go smoothly. Thunder is the updated military grade replacement for Shiny (the red one), who is apparently lost in space for ten years and only returning now. He thinks he’s only been gone five minutes.

Marisa Davila, Chris Diamantopoulos and Delbert Hunt voice the main characters in the series: Alex Rose, Shiny, and Thunder.

All episodes of the new animated series drop Aug. 4 on Netflix. Time to do some binge watching.
