Rob Zombie, every ’90s parent’s worst heavy metal nightmare, has actually pulled it a cinematic reboot of the beloved ’60s TV series The Munsters. Here’s the first teaser for it.
“Attention Boils and Ghouls!,” Zombie had written a year ago last April on Instagram. “The rumors are true! My next film project will be the one I’ve been chasing for 20 years! THE MUNSTERS! Stay tuned for exciting details as things progress!”
The Munsters stars Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Rob Zombie’s wife Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster, and features Cassandra Peterson (Elvira) as Barbara Carr, the #1 real estate agent in all of Mockingbird Heights.
The film is scheduled for release sometime in 2022, but there’s no official date yet. If we were in the business of taking bets, our money would be on Halloween weekend.
