American actress Patricia Hitchcock has died at the age of 93. She appeared in her father’s classic horror movie, Psycho (1960) as Caroline, Janet Leigh’s inquisitive co-worker. Patricia Alma Hitchcock was born July 7, 1928 in London, England. She was the daughter of director extraordinaire Sir Alfred Hitchcock, KBE, and his wife film editor and scriptwriter Alma Reville. She married Joseph E. O’Connell in 1952. They had three daughters. Patricia Hitchcock O’Connell died August 9, 2021 in Thousand Oaks, California. She generally acted under the name Pat Hitchcock.

Pat Hitchcock had speaking roles in three of her father’s movies and ten episodes if his TV show. She moved to the USA as a small child. After graduating from Marymount High School, she returned to England, where she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Her father Alfred was one of the most influential filmmakers of the past century, having directed such films as Rear Window, Vertigo, The Birds, North by Northwest, The Man Who Knew Too Much, and Psycho.
